Este martes 15 de noviembre, la Academia de la Grabación anunció los nominados para la 65 ª entrega anual de los premios Grammy.
Con la ayuda de un elenco de presentadores repleto de estrellas, incluidos Cyndi Lauper, Machine Gun Kelly, Smokey Robinson, John Legend, Jimmie Allen y la ganadora del año pasado como Mejor Artista Nuevo, Olivia Rodrigo, artistas de una amplia gama de géneros recibieron reconocimiento por sus contribuciones a la música este último año.
Los nominados incluyeron a algunos de los artistas más importantes del año como Adele, Bad Bunny, Doja Cat, Lizzo, Harry Styles y Beyoncé, quien hizo historia como la artista más nominada en la historia de los premios (80 veces desde el inicio de su carrera). Ese título anteriormente pertenecía a su esposo, el rapero Jay-Z.
Para la categoría Grabación del año de este año, Adele, Beyoncé, Doja, Harry y Lizzo se enfrentarán cara a cara, así como Steve Lacy por su éxito viral “Bad habit”, Kendrick Lamar, Mary J. Blige, ABBA y Brandi Carlile.
Olivia Rodgrio anunció las nominaciones de este año a Mejor Artista Nuevo, que incluyen a Anitta, Omar Apollo, DOMi & JD Beck, Muni Long, Samara Joy, Latto, Måneskin, Tobe Nwigwe, Molly Tuttle y Wet Leg.
Taylor Swift también recibió nominaciones a Canción del año (“All too wWell (Versión de 10 minutos) (The short film)”), Mejor canción escrita para medios visuales (“Carolina”), Mejor video musical (All too well: The short film), y Mejor Canción Country (“I bet you think about me (Taylor’s version) (From the vault)”).
Otros favoritos de los fans como “Unholy” de Sam Smith y Kim Petras, “Bam Bam” de Camila Cabello y Ed Sheeran, y “My Universe” de Coldplay y BTS recibieron nominaciones a Mejor interpretación pop de dúo/grupo.
