Lo mejor en podcasting se celebra una vez más, ya que los iHeartRadio Podcast Awards regresan el 21 de enero de 2021.
La tercera entrega anual de premios será virtual este año, ya que el evento se grabará desde múltiples ubicaciones y abarcará 30 categorías diferentes para honrar los podcasts más entretenidos e innovadores del año pasado, así como el talento y los líderes en la industria del podcasting.
Los nominados al Podcast del año de este año incluyen “Bunga Bunga”, “Dolly Parton’s America”, “Nice white parents”, “Office ladies”, “Reply all”, “Stuff you should know”, “The breakfast club”, “The daily”, “The happiness lab with Dr. Laurie Santos” y “Wind of change”, además de que el ganador de esta categoría volverá a ser decidido por los fans a través de la votación en Twitter hasta el 31 de diciembre de 2020.
Un panel de jueces compuesto por líderes de la industria de podcasts, creativos y visionarios de la cinta azul, determinará los ganadores en las categorías restantes que incluyen entretenimiento, comedia, crimen, noticias, deportes, comida, negocios y más.
Además, los iHeartRadio Podcast Awards 2021 presentarán tres Icon Awards para rendir homenaje a los creadores, organizaciones y podcasts que han hecho contribuciones innovadoras al papel cada vez más importante del podcasting en la cultura popular actual. Baratunde Thurston será honrado con el Premio Impacto Social 2021, Sarah Koenig y Julie Synder de Serial Productions recibirán el Premio Pioneer Audio Audible 2021 y QCODE será honrado con el Premio Innovador 2021.
